A minimal modern living room with concrete walls

The Reflective Hall

The Reflective Hall is a project that explores the intersection of raw materiality and soft lighting.

Located in the heart of Copenhagen, the space was designed to act as a sanctuary from the bustling city. The primary materials — cast concrete and white oak — were selected for their ability to age beautifully and reflect the shifting Nordic light.

The Material Palette

We focused on a limited palette to allow the forms to speak.

  • Concrete: Raw, hand-poured walls that provide thermal mass and a sense of permanence.
  • Linen: Soft, unbleached textiles that contrast with the hardness of the walls.
  • Oak: Warm, wide-plank flooring that grounds the space.

Architecture of Light

Light is treated as a physical material in this project. Large, floor-to-ceiling apertures were strategically placed to capture the low winter sun, while deep reveals create dramatic shadows that change throughout the day.
